Welcome!

I would like to personally welcome you to our website and church. Our church is committed to the preaching of the Word of God, and we diligently seek God’s guidance for each sermon to apply to your life.

We believe God is calling us to be a shining light in our community, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of others. People have all sorts of challenges, and we want you to know God cares – and so do we.

I count it a privilege to serve and see the Hand of God on His church. Building on a wonderful past, we are asking God to help our church continue to grow and develop. You are invited to come and be a part of what God is doing here at Grace Baptist Church.

What are Sundays like?

Sunday School begins at 10:00 AM, and there is something for everyone. Our pastor will bring forth a timely message from the Word of God in the main worship service at 11:00 AM. There will be special services for both young children (chidren's church - 3yr to K5) and for junior age children (junior church - up to 6th grade). A nursery is also available during Sunday School and the main worship service. Sunday evening worship service begins at 6:30 PM.

Where do I go?

We are located at 416 Denham Ave in West Columbia. Our Church grounds are on both sides of Denham. Our main auditorium is on the west side of Denham (street view). You will find our welcome center and help desk just inside the foyer of the main auditorium building. Sunday School classes are held all over campus, someone at the welcome desk will be happy to direct you to any class and answer any questions you may have. You can also reference this campus map. Take a look at a Google map of our location for directions and reference.

What do my children do?

Children at Grace Baptist have special services with activities and messages that are age specific. Children ages 3-5 will be dismissed from Sunday School and led to Children's Church in the Lorick Fellowship Hall, and children in grades 1st-6th will go to Junior Church in the Hansen Chapel.

What about infants and toddlers?

The Williamson Building provides a pleasant, spacious, and well-equipped nursery building. Our group of caring nursery workers are eager to look after your infants and toddlers during all services and Sunday school.

What do people typically wear when attending services?

There is no dress code at Grace Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in a more traditional “Sunday” style. The men usually wear a dress shirt and dress slacks, typically with a tie and many in a coat or suit. The women typically wear a modest dress. However, our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here at Grace Baptist Church!

I am not a Baptist…. May I attend services at Grace Baptist Church?

Yes. It is our desire that anyone seeking to know more about the Lord attend our services. You do not have to be a Baptist or come from a Baptist background to attend. We make it easy for anyone wanting to know more about Christ, the Bible, and church by focusing all of our teaching and preaching on the Word of God. You will find our members warm, friendly, and wanting to welcome you to worship with us.

What goes on during the week?

Our Wednesday night mid-week services begin with our children’s Awana program starting at 7:00 pm. Our teen program and adult prayer meeting and Bible study begin at 7:15 PM.
